I'm Kym Parker a graduate of Kaplan University and a current student. I've come to truly appreciate the value of education. Having an education is a right not an option and some people don't exercise that right. Throughout 2008 and 2010 while I was in school, I used Facebook to communicate with my classmates. There are many tools available to keep people connected. There's Linked In, Twitter, Facebook, instant messaging, Google Talk and Skype; and the list goes on. The requirement of this class in school, this time around is a privilege. It's unfortunate that some people don't have the opportunity to experience it. According to digitalbuzzblog.com, Facebook boasts over 500 million users and that 1 in every 13 people on earth are using Facebook. Linked in, which is centered around people who want to professionally network has over 100 million users. Online education with Kaplan University is a trend setter in the non-traditional higher learning arena. They strongly believe in the use of digital and social media. The world is rapidly moving towards that, where do you fit in?

It's been a while!

I realize that Blogging is a full time job if you choose to do it. It's a free forum for us to do what we wish, (within reason of course) without stepping on the toes of others. We can socialize, pass ideas and make Blogging an integral part of our professional lives. But you have to do it right. With that being said......Blog on, Bloggers, be safe and have fun!!!
